Make sure you check the schedule and make an appointment to see a doctor before you leave for Kuala Lumpur.

The intended doctor may be on leave, may have a surgery schedule, or fully booked so if you don't make an appointment before leaving, you might be asked to come another day.

 

Here's how to check a doctor's schedule and make an appointment to see a doctor:

 

1. Provide us with the estimated date you want to seek treatment.

2. We will confirm the availability of the doctor.

3. If the doctor is available, make an appointment immediately by sending us a photo of your passport. If the doctor is not available, we will give information on when the doctor is available soonest.

4. After the appointment is confirmed, we will send you proof of confirmation.

2. Booking Airport Pickups

 

Some hospitals in Kuala Lumpur provide transportation services from the airport to the hospital / hotel. These are the conditions:
 

• Beacon Hospital - Airport pick-up is available to your hotel of choice as well as transportation to the hospital on your treatment days. A standard rate applicable for this service  which will be visible on your bill. Pick-up service is available throughout the day, every day.

 

• Gleneagles KL - Free shuttle service. Pick-ups are only available on weekdays, Monday - Friday (7:00am - 4:30pm) and Saturday (7:00am - 4:30pm).

 

You must book at least 3 days before departure. Please let us know so that we can arrange the airport pick-up for you.

 

Note:
 

• If the hospital does not provide pickup service from the airport, you can take Grab car instead, it costs around RM 70 - 120, depending on traffic conditions.

3. Booking a hotel near the hospital

 

Now is the time for you to book a hotel to stay in during your treatment. You can book a hotel through us or through the Traveloka application, Tiket.com, Expedia, Trip.com or others.

• Ensure the validity period of your passport is more than 6 months before buying a ticket.

• Buy a one-way flight ticket in advance because you never know the possibility of extending the duration of your medical treatment.

• Do not buy airline tickets or book a hotel in advance until doctor's appointment confirmation by us.
