1.0 Definition of Terms

 

Unless stated otherwise, the terms below used in these GTC are to be understood as follows:

 

Client: A person or organisation intending to or already using the services of Rantau Medi Trip.

 

Medical Facility: a hospital, clinic or facility where the Clients medical treatment will be provided.

 

Services: The arrangement of medical treatment for the Client at an agreed Medical Facility and other additional supportive services related to the Client receiving medical treatment as agreed between Rantau Medi Trip and the Client.

Service Request Form: A list of basic questions to enable the collection of information about the Client such as contact details, basic requirements, supportive information etc.

Customer Feedback Form: A list of basic questions to enable the collection of information about the Client's level of satisfaction and Client's suggestions to improve the service of Rantau Medi Trip.

Medical Consultation: A physical, telephone or online meeting between the Client and Medical Specialist as part of the process in preparing the appropriate treatment for the Client.

Preliminary Quote: A summary description of the relevant treatment including initial estimated budget costs and possible timescales.

2.0 Provision of Services

 

2.1 Rantau Medi Trip organises medical treatment, provide information and other related services as agreed between Rantau Medi Trip and the Client. Rantau Medi Trip does not in any way provide or engage in the actual delivery of medical treatment, related medical services or in any medical advisory capacity and is not qualified to provide information in relation to any medical procedure or treatment.

 

2.2 Rantau Medi Trip may require the Client to complete a Service Request Form, participate in a Medical Consultation and provide any additional information required for the preparation of a Preliminary Quote for the Client.

 

2.3 The Client agrees to complete, if requested, a Service Request Form, participate in a Medical Consultation and provide other requested information accurately, completely and when requested and agrees that by not doing so may prevent treatment to be considered or undertaken.

 

2.4 Once Rantau Medi Trip has received sufficient information from the Client, Rantau Medi Trip will provide the Client with a Preliminary Quote to help Client make better decision on selecting a suitable healthcare option.

 

2.5 Once the decision is made, Rantau Medi Trip will then make necessary arrangements with the hospital to book the doctor's appointment.

2.6 Rantau Medi Trip may require the Client to provide evidence of their identity in the form of appropriate identification documents. The Client agrees that Rantau Medi Trip may make copies of such documents for the purposes of the services it provides. Rantau Medi Trip will only share this information with a Medical Facility if necessary and will not disclose this information to third parties.

 

 

 

3.0 Travel Arrangements and Documentation

Unless agreed otherwise with Rantau Medi Trip as part of the treatment plan, the Client is responsible for:

3.1 ensuring they have all the appropriate travel documentation and permissions required for entry to and from the country their chosen medical facility is located.

3.2 travel arrangements to and from the Medical Facility.

3.3 attending all appointments on time as Rantau Medi Trip accepts no responsibility for the Clients inability to receive treatment or other services due to any late arrival to appointments.

 

 

4.0 Exclusion of Liabilities

 

4.1 Rantau Medi Trip organises medical treatment, provide information and other related services as agreed between Rantau Medi Trip and the Client. Rantau Medi Trip does not in any way provide or engage in the actual delivery of medical treatment, related medical services or in any medical advisory capacity and is not qualified to provide information in relation to any medical procedure or treatment.

 

4.2 Rantau Medi Trip does not accept any liability for services provided to the Client by the Medical Facility or any other service providers organised by Rantau Medi Trip and therefore does not accept any liability for any injury, loss, damage or expense the Client may incur using such service providers.

 

4.3 The Medical Facility may, where appropriate, provide the Client directly with a warranty on treatments and services according to the Medical Facility’s own terms and conditions. The Client agrees to review such terms and conditions and that any warranty claim related to services provided by the Medical Facility is directly between the Client and the Medical Facility.

 

4.4 Rantau Medi Trip does not accept any liability for any injury, loss, damage or expense arising directly or indirectly from the Clients failure to complete a Service Request Form, Medical Questionnaire or provide other relevant information accurately and when required or attend a Medical Consultation when required.

 

4.5 Rantau Medi Trip does not accept any liability for any injury, loss, damage or expense arising directly or indirectly in the event that the Medical Facility decides for any medical reason that the Client is not fit to have treatment.

 

4.6 Rantau Medi Trip does not accept any liability for any injury, loss, damage or expense arising directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other reasons beyond Rantau Medi Trip’s control.

5.0 Prices, Payments, Cancellations and Refunds

 

5.1 As an official representative of hospitals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Rantau Medi Trip offers services without any additional cost, hidden fees or mark-ups.

 

5.2 Payment for services provided by the Medical Facility and other service provider is to be made directly between the Client and the Medical Facility and other service provider (this includes travel, transport, accommodation and other related services) and will be based on each service provider’s own terms and conditions.

 

5.3 The Preliminary Quote is an initial estimation of the medical charges proposed to the Client.

5.4 Service Provider deposits, fees and all associated costs will be referred to the Service Providers T’s and Cs.

5.5 If the Client wishes to make changes to the agreed treatment plan then the Client must notify Rantau Medi Trip by email of the requested changes.

5.6 If the Client wishes to cancel the treatment plan then the Client must notify Rantau Medi Trip by email of the cancellation request. If Rantau Medi Trip has arranged services for the Client by third party suppliers such as accommodation, travel etc. then cancellation fees will be based on each service provider’s particular terms and conditions.

5.7 If the Medical Facility or other service provider cancels or changes services in the agreed treatment plan then any refunds to the Client will be between the Client and the Medical Facility or other service provider and solely based on the Terms and Conditions of the Medical Facility or other service provider with no liability on Rantau Medi Trip.

5.8 If the Client arrives late for treatment then the Medical Facility may cancel the appointment with no obligation to refund any fees paid (if any).

5.9 The Client agrees to keep Rantau Medi Trip informed of any changes to their circumstances or information that may impact on the services offered and any costs incurred as a consequence of such changes are the sole responsibility of the Client. Rantau Medi Trip does not accept any responsibility for any additional costs due to these changes.

6.0 Governing Law

 

6.1 These GTC form part of the contractual relationship between Rantau Medi Trip and the Client and are governed by the laws and regulations of Malaysia.

 

6.2 The Client agrees that the laws and regulations in Malaysia may differ from the laws and regulations under which similar services are provided in the Client’s country of origin and is advised to seek legal advice for any clarifications.

 

 

 

7.0 Intellectual Property Rights

 

7.1 Rantau Medi Trip is the owner of all intellectual property rights with regard to its Website and all associated material published on the Website or additional material supplied to the Client by Rantau Medi Trip is protected by trademark and copyright law with all rights reserved. The use of any material contained within this Website or supplied directly to the Client by Rantau Medi Trip is strictly prohibited unless permission is granted by Rantau Medi Trip itself.

7.2 Rantau Medi Trip has the right to file a formal complaint to DMCA if any party is found guilty of copyright infringement. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a landmark legislation that protects intellectual property online. Once a complaint is filed, the offender is supposed to honor Rantau Medi Trip's ownership of the material. If that doesn’t happen, Rantau Medi Trip will follow its own specific protocols to deal with the offender, up to and including shutting down the offending website.

 

7.3 Any party who wish to use any of Rantau Medi Trip's content in their website must first obtain Rantau Medi Trip's permission to do so via Email: support@rantaumeditrip.com. Rantau Medi Trip may allow any of the content to be used as long as due credit is given to the original author with link to the original web page.

7.4 Rantau Medi Trip will supply the Client with various documents and other information as part of its services. The Client agrees that any such information supplied to the Client by Rantau Medi Trip may not be copied, forwarded or used in any way to or by third parties unless authorised in writing by Rantau Medi Trip.

8.0 Privacy Policy

 

8.1 Rantau Medi Trip may require the Client to provide personal information including medical data to enable it to provide its services to the Client.

 

8.2 Rantau Medi Trip recognises the importance of protecting the privacy of all the information it collects from Clients and will handle such data in the strictest of confidence sharing information only where necessary with direct suppliers of services to the Client as detailed in the agreed treatment plan such as the Medical Facility.

 

8.3 Rantau Medi Trip will handle personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

 

8.4 In using this Website the Client agrees to the collection and use of personal information and data by Rantau Medi Trip as stated in its GTC.

 

 

 

9.0 Disclaimer

 

9.1 This Website and the information contained within is provided for general information purposes only and does not claim to be legal or professional advice in anyway.

 

9.2 Rantau Medi Trip provides no warranty, implied or expressly, with regard to the provision of services by third party suppliers.
